Jag Bakes (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates jagbakes.com. We’re a small bakery, and we keep data collection simple: we collect only what we need to send you our monthly newsletter and fulfill your preorders. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address (and your name, if you provide it). When you place a preorder, we collect your name, contact details, and order information. Payment is made at pickup — we do not collect or store payment card information on this website.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and site operation. Our signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam, which is subject to Google’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We use only the cookies necessary for the site to function.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to send the newsletter you asked for, prepare and fulfill your preorders, respond to your messages, and keep the site secure and working. That’s it. We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who make this site run — our web host and our email newsletter service — and only so they can perform those services for us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your Choices and Rights
Newsletter. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you’re out — no hard feelings.
Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Contact Us and we’ll take care of it within 30 days. We honor these requests for all visitors, including California residents.
Do Not Track. Because we don’t track visitors across other websites, our site does not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals — there’s nothing to turn off.
Data Retention
We keep newsletter subscriber information until you unsubscribe, and order information for as long as needed for our business records (typically no more than 3 years), after which it is deleted.
Children’s Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. For significant changes, we’ll mention it in the newsletter.
