Jag Bakes began the way most good things do — with a warm kitchen, a jar of sourdough starter, and the joy of handing someone a loaf still warm from the oven.
Our mission is simple: to serve quality baked goods made from simple and clean ingredients. That means whole wheat flour, water, salt, and a naturally fermented starter for our sourdough. Real butter — browned slowly until it’s nutty and deep — for our cookies. Nothing you can’t pronounce, and nothing that doesn’t belong.
We bake in small batches, once a month, so every loaf and every cookie gets the time it deserves. Slow fermentation isn’t fast, but it’s what gives our bread its flavor, its keeping quality, and its character.
